Metro Credit Union is very concerned about the safety and security of our members personal information.   At this time we would like to review precautions that you should take in  protecting your personal information.

“Phishing” is an attempt to lure someone into disclosing personal information about themselves.  This can be done by sending emails out that look like they are from your financial institution or other business parter.   Some good rules to follow are:

• Never open email unless you know the sender. 
• Do not click on links in an email if it does not look authentic.
• Do not provide any personal information back to someone through an email link or request.  Contact the company to verify.
• Metro Credit Union will not solicit personal information from our members via email. 
• If you receive an email that looks like it is from the credit union requesting personal information, please notify us immediately.
